The UFC is opening its new Paramount partnership with a monumental fight card. UFC President Dana White made a surprise live announcement during the CBS broadcast of Cowboys vs. Chiefs, revealing two massive headliners for UFC 324, taking place Jan. 24 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Main Event 1: Interim Lightweight Title – Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett
With lightweight champion Ilia Topuria sidelined until mid-2026, the UFC has introduced an interim belt. Justin Gaethje (26-5), already a former interim champion and one of the most violent fan favorites in UFC history, will face surging superstar Paddy Pimblett (23-3).
Gaethje, coming off a Fight of the Night victory over Rafael Fiziev at UFC 313, had been waiting for his shot at Topuria. But with the champion unavailable, “The Highlight” now takes on Pimblett, who is riding sky-high momentum after brutalizing former title challenger Michael Chandler at UFC 314.
The winner is expected to face Topuria later in 2026 for a unification bout.
