UFC 322 is now underway from Madison Square Garden in New York City, delivering one of the most anticipated cards of the year. In the main event, UFC welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena looks to protect his belt and his 18 fight winning streak as he welcomes former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev to the 170 pound division. If Makhachev gets the win, he will join the list of fighters who became two division UFC champions.
Makhachev enters the night on a 15 fight winning streak, and many fans believe a victory could place him at the top of the pound for pound rankings. Maddalena has proven to be one of the most dangerous boxers in the UFC with sharp timing, high level accuracy, and some of the best finishing instincts in the division.
The co main event features another champion versus champion matchup as former strawweight champion Zhang Weili moves up in weight to challenge flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. A win for Zhang would make her one of the few fighters to capture titles in multiple divisions.
