“First and foremost, it was a foul, and Ciryl Gane is the one to blame for it,” Dillashaw said. “But from the optics, it looked like his eye was closed when he got poked, and he wasn’t even trying to open it. Then you see pictures later, and his eye looks fine. I feel like he might’ve taken the easier way out.” 💭
Dillashaw suggested Aspinall may have used the situation to his advantage, keeping his belt, collecting a reported $3 million payday, and setting up a future rematch. 💰
