Two former UFC stars are set to collide — but not inside the octagon.
Promoters have confirmed that Michael Chandler will face Chad Mendes in a wrestling match at Real American Freestyle 3 (RAF03), taking place Nov. 29 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, streaming exclusively on Fox Nation.
Chandler, a former UFC title challenger and All-American wrestler from the University of Missouri, will return to his collegiate roots for this high-profile freestyle showdown. The 39-year-old hasn’t competed since his UFC 314 loss to Paddy Pimblett in April and is looking to reignite his competitive edge on the mats.
Across from him will be Mendes, a two-time All-American from Cal Poly and former three-time UFC featherweight title challenger. Mendes also made waves in BKFC, where he went 1-1 — including a memorable split-decision loss to Eddie Alvarez.
RAF03 will also feature rising high school wrestling phenom Bo Bassett, a world champion, taking on former Bellator standout Darrion Caldwell in another must-watch matchup.
This event continues RAF’s mission of bringing elite-level freestyle wrestling to mainstream combat sports fans, and with Chandler and Mendes headlining, expectations are sky-high for fireworks in Chicago.
