Tom Aspinall Responds to Daniel Cormier’s “Crazy” UFC Heavyweight Prediction 👀🔥

UFC legend Daniel Cormier has once again stirred the pot in the heavyweight division — this time with high praise for current champion Tom Aspinall ahead of UFC 321.

In a behind-the-scenes clip from Aspinall’s fight week vlog, Cormier was caught on a hot mic, giving the British heavyweight major props while seemingly throwing shade at the rest of the division. Aspinall is set to defend his UFC heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane in Saturday’s main event, with fellow contenders Alexander Volkov and Jailton Almeida also competing on the card.

Cormier didn’t hold back in his comments:

“These matchups in this division — what type of crazy run you can go on. It can change your life,” Cormier said. “Because Almeida’s fighting Volkov. Jailton can’t fight… Even Volkov, you beat him in the first round. It can be crazy. You’re on the verge of something special. Keep working hard.”

While many fans took the comments as Cormier dismissing the current heavyweight lineup, Aspinall was quick to clarify and stay humble, reminding everyone that heavyweight MMA is as unpredictable as it gets.

“Listen, heavyweight MMA is the most dangerous, unpredictable division in the whole sport,” Aspinall replied. “I think my level’s better than anybody else’s, but that doesn’t mean I can’t lose. I feel like I’m the best, but I’ve still got a lot to prove.”

Aspinall’s record backs up the hype. In nine UFC appearances, he’s finished seven opponents in the first round, including wins over Sergei Pavlovich, Marcin Tybura, and a quick revenge knockout over Curtis Blaydes — who previously handed him his only loss due to a freak knee injury.

Outside of his fight with Andrei Arlovski, which ended in a Round 2 submission, Aspinall has barely been tested, earning a reputation as one of the most efficient finishers in UFC heavyweight history.

Despite the viral clip, Aspinall took to YouTube to cool down the chatter surrounding Cormier’s comments:

“Relax guys, DC was just giving me support about upcoming fights — it’s no biggie.”

With the heavyweight division heating up, one thing’s for sure — Tom Aspinall’s reign is just beginning, and if Daniel Cormier’s words prove true, we might be witnessing the start of a historic run. 🏆🔥
