Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is turning up the heat ahead of his rumored title clash with UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria in early 2026 — and he’s not holding back.
Speaking to Marca, Pimblett slammed Topuria for being “fake,” claiming the Spanish-Georgian champion is “actually German” and only pretending to represent Georgia and Spain to gain more fans.
“He’s the fakest person ever,” Pimblett said. “Half his followers are bought. He’s a McGregor copycat, and I’m getting sick of him.”
The bad blood between the two dates back to a 2022 altercation in London, when Topuria allegedly tried to jump Pimblett with “10 other people.” Now, the rivalry could finally culminate in the octagon — possibly headlining UFC’s first-ever card on Paramount+ in January.
With both fighters at the peak of their fame, a Topuria vs. Pimblett showdown could be one of the most heated title fights in UFC history.
